As we gather in Thessaloniki, we find ourselves in a city with a rich history dating back to the ancient Macedonians. Today, Thessaloniki is experiencing a strong revival, serving as the prime port for the whole of
Southeastern Europe. Thessaloniki is a vibrant city, home to more than 140.000 students, and the renown Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the largest university in Greece. The city is also recognized as an innovation
and technological hub, rapidly becoming the most important and recognizable innovation center in the region.
Moreover, Thessaloniki’s gastronomic reputation follows its 23 century history and is globally recognized, as it is the first Greek city to join UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network for gastronomy.
We look forward to welcoming you to this crosslink of cultures, where the past and the present coexist, creating a unique blend of experiences.
